A derogatory prepatory statement in a sentence used when telling someone something they should already know, but, in fact the author knows they do not.

I love this website. Apart from  The People of Walmart site, this is one of my favorite passing of time whilst Jetblue-ing sites to visit.

Some may argue that there are more useful things I could be doing with my time.

But where's the fun in that?
