I would like to take a minute and point out how well Tom is always accessorized. His shoes did match his bags... you will just have to trust me on that .

I can't decide which one I like best, the blue one with the pink hearts or the slick Fendi bag.

CORONADO BE
ACH, SAN DIEGO
Tom and Lyndsey Ercanbrack

Tom and I took the kids to San Diego for spring break. We had to split the week up between the beach and snowboarding so we were only gone for two days. We played at Coronado Beach, which is my favorite beach town in California. It was a little nippy, People were actually dressed in sweatshirts and hats. Nadia and I were the only ones in swimming suits.
We didn't care, we are used to being cold...we're from Utah.

Nadia took this pic from the plane. I thought it was cool.

We were on Coronado. This is the view of the city, so pretty!

We left Vivian with my mom. We missed that crazy little girl, but we had fun without her...
sorry Vivi.

Poor little Liam. He was sick the whole time.

Nadia is like a little fish, well a fish that will
not go in the water but loves to play on the beach.

Poor Liam, still sick.

Time to take the shuttle back to the airport.
It has been fun, San Diego.

I HAVE A DREAM

Tom and I have been waiting a long time for this. We have been in the buying and selling homes business for most of our marriage with one goal in mind, to live debt free. No car payments, no house payments and no credit card debt. I am very pleased to report that we have met our goal (or at least came very close). We have built homes, remodeled homes, practically torn down homes and have moved quite a bit. We are done, Yay for us! We bought this lot about two years ago and have just been waiting to put a house on it. Today is the day. The day that all our wildest dreams will come true...

Long Beach

I took my mom and the two older kids to Huntington Beach yesterday. We had a blast. We took the eight a.m. flight to Long Beach and spent the whole day. We had the yummiest breakfast at a little cafe called The Omelet Inn. After wards, we kind of stumbled upon a t.v. set called The Unit. We got to meet the cast and talk to them. My mom was in heaven. I was happy because I got to meet the dude that played the president in 24. The Allstate guy, you know "are you in good hands...?" Then we went to the beach. The kids had a so much fun. Garrett prefers California over New York. He wants to move there. I can't say I blame him, it was so warm and sunny.
Although, I would still take NYC any day.

What a fun day! I think we all needed a little sunshine. Great food and great weather.

However, I would rather be eating this in that...

Worst Movie of the Year

So since I have gone on and on about good, quality movies I thought I ought to give my humble opinion on the worst movie of the year. What may contribute to my conclusion is the fact that this has a pretty decent cast, and still it blew! So without further ado, the winner of Lyndsey's pick for worst movie of the year is... He's just not that into you. WOW! That was painful to sit through. Now, you all know I don't usually like chick flicks to begin with but my girlfriends wanted to see this and so I regrettably agreed. If you haven't seen this hideous movie but are planning on going, run do not walk away from this sad attempt at entertainment.

On a more positive note, I kind of like my rental house.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I am pleased to report that I am now 31 years old. I would
love to say the older I get, the wiser I become...
but that would be a lie.

WE ARE MOVING AGAIN!

Oh Orem, you will be missed.

... No seriously.

Remember the time when we sold our house and had no where to go? No, not that time. Nope, not that time either. Yeah, that time in Highland when we were scrambling to find a house anywhere and I had the idea to move to Orem even though our lives were still in American Fork. It did work out in the end. (besides driving back and forth twenty times a day.) Oh, the fond memories of living in Orem... like the time Tom was in Philly for the week and that drunk guy came over to the house and wouldn't leave until I called the police. Or, like the time in the Target parking lot where that abusive mother and I had a not so pleasant exchange of dialogue. Or the time when I had a broken tail light and two police cars and four officers pulled me over half a block from my house with all the neighbors watching. Of course the best was when a member of the bishopric came over to drop something by and I had no idea anyone was here and I came out with no pants on.

...Good times!

On a more serious note, we have met some really great people and we will miss them like crazy!!! Our ward was wonderful and the kids made some really great friends. The location was great. Garrett was able to ride to the skate park everyday in the summer and the outdoor swimming pool was fantastic. (we lived there.) Close to shopping, restaurants and that great new movie theater behind The University Mall. Oh and as for you, Hello Yogurt ... I will be back. Everyday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIAM!

Liam is 4 years old. He is the funniest little boy on the planet!
He is also very tender and sensitive. He steals the hearts of everyone he meets.

Halloween? No, why do you ask?
This is just his everyday attire.
Liam has a lot of strengths. He is very athletic and coordinated. He
can already rock on a skateboard. He can work magic with any ball and
oh yeah, he can also beat me on the Wii. He also has great taste in the music
department. His favorite song is The greatest man that ever lived by Weezer,
also one of my favorites. He also loves Dire Straits, Bob Dylan and Bonnie Tyler
A boy after my own heart.

Happy birthday my handsome baby!!! I love you!!!

A total waste of time...

We just got back from the St George Parade of Homes and I am very sad to say this year pretty much blew. I know (and I know you know) I have a tendency to be a little on the picky side when it comes to home design but you don't have to be a design genius to see that this was disastrous! Nothing new, nothing innovative, nothing even close to exciting. That was the worst $25.00 I ever spent. Not to mention now that we don't have the condo anymore, we had to pay for a hotel. Now, don't get me wrong I am not saying they were all awful...nope, never mind, that is exactly what I am saying. They all lacked everything that makes a home show a home show. Keep in mind that I am a firm believer in thinking you don't have to spend a ton of money to make something wonderful. All paint colors cost about the same amount of money. It even saves money to not purchase the disgusting plastic greenery. Space planning is key to any good design, that is also free when building from scratch. I took a picture of the worst design mistake of the year. It is the dual focal points right next to each other. Where are you suppose to look? Not to mention both pieces are... well ... pieces.

The best thing in the show?

This lovely cowgirl.

NEW YORK

Garrett wanted to visit New York. He had never been there
before and he wanted to see The Museum Of Natural History. Of course,
I was more than willing to accommodate him.

We took the red eye Monday night and arrived in JFK at 5 a.m. We had a few hours before the museum opened and we weren't sure what we were going to do. We met a guy on the airtrain who worked on Wall Street. He suggested we go with him so Garrett could see the financial district. He got to see the New York Stock Exchange and The Statue of Liberty. I was just enjoying the amazing architecture. (The financial district is my favorite part of the city as far as architecture goes...) After that we were suppose to head to the museum but we, I mean, I got sidetracked and had to stop over in Tribecca.

Then we headed to the museum.

The museum was great. We both enjoyed it! I have a million
pictures of everything we saw there but I don't want to bore you...

That is Central Park behind me, Garrett wasn't impressed...

Next we went to Time Square. What is a trip to Time Square
without a stop at the Hershey Store?

So we went all over. We went downtown, midtown, uptown and then back to midtown to get
authentic New York pie. It was great. I could definitely get used to these trips.

I was sad that the day had to end. Of course, I was thrilled
to see this on the subway heading back...

Is he irritated because it is time to go home or because if he sees the
camera one more time he is going to scream?
Nadia's Party

For Nadia's birthday she went to build a bear with her best friend and they made special bears. Then she wanted to go shopping and get some clothes. To finish off her special day we all went to Outback Steakhouse for a yummy dinner. She had a great day!

He is a hottie either way.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NADIA!

I can't believe you are already 7 years old.
You are the most beautiful and smart little
girl in the whole world!

Nadia is in first grade. She loves to learn.
She loves lunch and dislikes
recess... Hmmm, just like her mom.

When Nadia wanted to go swimming but couldn't
find her swimming suit, she made her own.
( Yes, that is a Dillards bag... No, I didn't let her wear it.)

Nadia is a natural in ballet. She was born to
to be a dancer.

Nadia has a style all her own,
I have a feeling she will grow up to be a designer
of some sort... Either an architect, clothing designer
or interior designer. She can build a building
out of anything. She can also make clothes out of
anything. She does... everyday.

She is the only person I know that can move
her eyes in different directions. It is pretty
funny... and gross. I find myself telling her
that her eyes will stick that way if she does
it all the time. That's probably a lie, but
it strains my eyes just watching her!

Nadia, You are the most precious, sweet,
talented girl on the planet! I love you
so much!!!!!!!
