Before I Die... In NOLA
Uber cool designer, urban planner, and co-founder of The Civic Center, Candy Chang installed this on the side of an abandoned house in her own neighborhood in New Orleans. (You know how I adore NOLA) It is where residents can fill in the blank and reflect on what is important to them. It’s also about turning a neglected space into a constructive one where people can learn the ambitions and aspirations of others around them. I think this is such a commendable idea. I love that people are taking it seriously and actually writing down good things. No smart ass kids trying to be clever.
I'm thinking of doing this in my neighborhood... I know just the spot.

I know! I don't know where exactly it is there, but I bet if you ask around once you are there, someone will know...They are so friendly and helpful in New Orleans. I love that place!
